After Jacky was gone, Reg found herself feeling guilty.

She wasn’t sure which thing it was that was making her uncomfortable. The feeling that she was stealing Sarah’s friend? Or that she had made friends with the enemy, someone she had immediately identified as a con? Or was it something to do with her friendship with Jessup, and feeling like she hadn’t quite stood up for her friend the way she ought to?

Jacky left her with a whole mess of confused, guilty feelings. Reg drained her coffee cup. Now that she’d had caffeine, she wouldn’t be going to bed for a few hours.
